Year 5 2023 - 2024

Welcome to Year 5!

The class teacher is Miss Mallon and the amazing Miss Smith is our teaching assistant this year. We are looking forward to a wonderful year full of learning and exciting opportunities.

Class Routines

• This half term our PE days are Wednesday and Friday (subject to weather - Friday PE slots may change to another day as we are sharing our area with another year group. If this is the case, parents will be emailed)

 Homework

• Spellings: Children will be tested on their year 5/6 high frequency words every week.
• Homework will be given either on Century Tech or on paper and is due on the following Thursday
• TT Rockstars needs to be practised at least 3 times every week - awards are given in assembly for the most improved!

Our work

We loved having the chicks in our classroom last half term! We learnt so much about their life cycles.
