Reception wb 31.01.2022

Hello!

This week in Reception, we have continued our learning about teeth. Thank you for all of the photographs you have sent in! We have also been reading Jack and the Beanstalk and writing some sentences about the story.

The children are doing very well with their phonics. Next week they will be reassessed which might mean that some children begin to bring home a different book. We assess children's phonics knowledge very often, and it is entirely normal for children to fluctuate at this point in Reception (they may move to different groups). 

In maths, we have been looking at making numbers to 10 on a 10-frame. We have also been looking at amounts and comparing them, e.g. which has more or fewer.

Bee Badges - the children have started to earn their Bee Badges this week. I have attached a photograph of our display which contains the Britannia Bee Rules. Children must consistently meet these rules in order to gain their Bee Badge. All children will earn it by the end of the year.
