Geography Day
Date: 21st Sep 2020 @ 2:40pm
On Friday, Year 6B had a full day learning about earthquakes in Geography. They looked closely at tectonic plates and their locations and also the San Andreas Fault. In the afternoon, they all worked in small groups to create a building (using cocktail sticks and mini marshmallows) that were strong enough to withstand an earthquake. When the group felt confident in their structure, they tested it in 'the earthquake zone' (a big tray of jelly). They thought hard about their structures and there were many successes!
